What Are The Best Essential Oils?

For me and my family, hands down, the best essential oils are Young Living Essential Oils. If you are using Young Living Essential Oils, reading this will re-affirm that you made the absolute best choice. If you have not tried them yet, you will learn a lot. I have researched and tried essential oils from many companies. Here is the back story. Most other companies buy their oils from brokers which means they do not own, supervise or manage their farms. The plants that these oils are sourced from are grown with synthetic chemical pesticides because it is less expensive and more profitable. Distillation is done with chemical solvents in place of steam, oils are stored in toxic plastic barrels and contamination such as mercury or lead may be present. Some companies manipulate their oils so as to always smell the same or to always smell sweet. For example, low quality peppermint essential oil may smell like candy canes. Peppermint grown naturally does not smell like candy and in fact, depending on the growing season, may smell slightly different harvest to harvest. Many companies add synthetic fragrance, alcohol, carrier oils and other fillers and solvents. That is why these oils can’t be ingested, applied to the skin or used on or near pets. That is also why they are inexpensive. They are diluted, chemical laden and may be toxic.

No other essential oil company has the high purity standards of Young Living. Their farms are open to the public. Anyone can walk in and visit. You do not have to do business with Young Living to explore their farms. They also distill their own oils, using only the first and purest distillation. Young Living is a total open book company and actually started the modern day essential oils movement over 25 years ago. They have the largest selection of oils, blends and vitality (ingestible) oils. Young Living is the originator of the Thieves blend. Many companies, even so called higher end ones, try to copy this blend and give it a similar name. If fact, they copy a lot of Young Living blends, changing the name but never getting it right.
