Tea Tree Essential Oil is extremely versatile. It has properties that are cleansing, purifying, anti-septic and immune supporting.  Tea Tree oil is used to benefit skin, hair and nails. It neutralizes odors, keeps personal care items fresh and supports many aspects of personal wellness. This is an oil you definitely want in your natural medicine cabinet.

Here are some ways you can use this amazing essential oil.

-Replace highly toxic “Free-Breezy” fabric freshener sprays with a spray made with lemon and tea tree oils. This smells sooooo good and is purifying as well as odor reducing. (Add 20 drops tea tree and 20 drops lemon essential oil into a 8 ounce spray bottle. Top off with water. Optional: add 1 teaspoon of grain alcohol.)

-You can also purify the air and eliminate stale and musty odors by diffusing lemon and tea tree oils together. Your home will smell fresh and clean.

-Add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to your Thieves Laundry Detergent or wool dryer balls. (Last 10 minutes of drying.) This will be very refreshing especially when you wash sweaty, smelly gym clothes or even your bedsheets.

-Spritz your hair brushes, combs and toothbrushes with tea tree essential oil to keep them sparkling clean. Alternatively you can soak them in water with a few drops of tea tree.

-Apply to blemishes to help sooth them away and to diminish their appearance.

-Support your skin by adding a few drops of tea tree essential oil to your facial wash or moisturizer.

-Calm itchy insect bites by applying directly or spritzing.

-Apply to fingernails, toenails and feet or make a spray and spritz these areas. I like to bring tea tree when I get a pedicure and add a few drops to the foot bath water.

-Add a drop or two of tea tree, peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils to steamy water when you are congested, Breath in. You can add a towel over your head to make a steam tent.

-You can apply tea tree to a dry itchy scalp…but this is not recommended if your hair is dyed as it may strip away some of the color.

-You can apply under your arms to control odor. Sweat does not have odor but bacteria under your arms does. Tea Tree will target the bacteria.

-Add tea tree oil to baking soda. Sprinkle in smelly shoes or in sweaty sports equipment.

-Add tea tree to baking soda and Thieves Cleaner to make a cleansing soft scrub for kitchen and bathroom sinks as well as bathtubs.
