Nothing feels as good as showering and getting ready in a clean, pristine, spa like atmosphere. Here are some ideas to make your bathroom sparkle and smell amazing. These cleaners do not contain chemical products that affect respiration, allergies and overall health. They are safe for children. Kids can even assist in making these products and helping you clean. Distilled water is preferred for all recipes. Effectiveness is based on using Young Living Essential Oils. These oils are highly concentrated and pure.
Easy Sink Cleaner
Simply sprinkle baking soda in your sink. Add either a few drops of Lemon Essential Oil or a quick spray of diluted Thieves Household Cleaner. Wipe with a sponge and rinse.
Bathtub Scrub
In a small dish, combine baking soda and concentrated Thieves Household Cleaner. Add a little water to make desired paste consistency. Wipe with a textured sponge all around the bathtub. Allow to sit for a minute or two or up to 15 minutes if needed. Sponge and rinse off. (Optional-You may add a few drops of lemon essential oil to the scrub mixture.)
Toilet Bowl Cleaner-for inside the rim
Using a funnel, add the following ingredients to a squirt bottle: 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup concentrated Thieves Household Cleaner, 10 drops of Tea Tree, Lemon, Citrus Fresh or your Young Living Essential Oil of choice. Cover and Shake bottle to combine ingredients. Squirt under the rim as needed-or simply put a capful of concentrated Thieves Household Cleaner in the bowl and swish and brush.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner-for inside the bowl
Fill a 2 cup mason jar almost to the top with baking soda. Add 6-12 drops of Citrus Fresh Essential Oil. Cover with a regular lid. Shake Well. Replace with Shaker lid when you are ready to use. Store with regular lid.
Toilet, Tub and Tile Cleaner
Add two capfuls of concentrated Thieves Household cleaner to a 16 ounce glass spray bottle. You may add a few drops of Lemon or Citrus Fresh Essential Oil if you desire. Add water slowly to fill. Spray and wipe all surfaces.
Tile Floor Cleaner
In a small metal bucket, add hot water, 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1-2 capfuls of Thieves Concentrated Household Cleaner and 5-10 drops of Lemon, Tea Tree or Purification Essential Oil. Mop as usual.
Glass Cleaner
In a 16 ounce glass spray bottle, add one capful of concentrated Thieves Household Cleaner. Fill with distilled water. Optional: add 1 teaspoon vinegar and/or 10 drops of Citrus Fresh Essential Oil. Use a flat weave microfiber cloth when cleaning glass and mirrors.
Grout Cleaner
Use Thieves concentrated cleaner diluted in a spray bottle or concentrate mixed in a paste with baking soda. See above.
Keep The Shower Clean and Fresh Spray
In a 4 ounce glass spray bottle, add 30 drops of Thieves Essential Oil and a mixture of half vinegar, half water to fill the bottle. Spray the shower after use and around caulking and grout where needed.
Air Freshener Spray
Combine 30 drops of your favorite essential oil with distilled water in an eight ounce glass spray bottle. Some suggested essential oils are: Thieves, Purification, Jade Lemon, Citrus Fresh, Pine, Lavender.
Before You Go Spray
In a 2 ounce glass spray bottle, add 20 drops Bergmot Essential Oil, 20 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil, 20 drops Of Grapefruit Essential Oil and 20 drops of Lemongrass Essential Oil . Add 1 Tablespoon of vegetable glycerine. Fill bottle with water. Spritz into the toilet bowl to eliminate odor before it begins. You may vary the essential oils to create a different scent.
