Sprays That Smell Great!

Breathing in Young Living pure essential oils, with all their natural compounds, is an experience like no other. Tiny molecules in essential oils quickly reach the brain, affecting one’s moods and emotions. The experience is rich, alive, uplifting and fulfilling. Since using Young Living products, even the scents that I previously enjoyed from a natural cosmetic company, now all fall flat. When smelling Young Living Oils, I want to breathe in more fully and multiple times. It is an experience that I can’t get from over the counter products. The oils lift my vibration and mood. When I breathe in Young Living Essential oils I have been know to say , “I can get high on this”, which does make people laugh, but it just feels that good. In addition to diffusing and inhaling essential oils from the bottle, I love to make room, linen and body sprays. These sprays are multi-purpose. It is very easy. I will share some recipes below.

Did you know…

Always use glass containers for products containing essential oils. The oils could dissolve some components of the plastic which would add toxins to your natural spray.

Dark glass bottles are best. If using clear glass, it is especially important to store away from sunlight.

Adding grain alcohol, vodka or witch hazel to your recipe will help disperse the oil and preserve the spray. It is still a good idea to shake the bottle before using.

Essential Oil sprays are pure and natural and thus a preferred choice over synthetic perfume. They are a much healthier alternative to air fresheners, plug-ins and fabric refresher sprays.

Here are some recipes:

Uplifting Joyful Spray

1 ounce glass spray bottle

1 teaspoon grain alcohol, vodka or fragrance free witch hazel

7 drops Christmas Spirit Essential Oil

5 drops Stress Away Essential Oil

Distilled Water

Purification and Lemon Freshener Spray

1 ounce glass spray bottle

1 teaspoon grain alcohol, vodka or fragrance free witch hazel

5 drops Purification Essential Oil

5 drops Lemon Essential Oil

Distilled Water

Summer Floral Spray

1 ounce glass spray bottle

1 teaspoon grain alcohol, vodka or fragrance free witch hazel

4 drops Lavender Essential Oil

4 drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Distilled Water

Lemon, Orange Joy Spray

1 ounce glass spray bottle

1 teaspoon grain alcohol, vodka or fragrance free witch hazel

5 drops Lemon Essential Oil

5 drops Orange Essential Oil

2 drops of Joy Essential Oil

Distilled Water

White Angelica and Believe Spray

1 ounce glass spray bottle

1 teaspoon grain alcohol, vodka or fragrance free witch hazel

5 drops White Angelica Essential Oil

5 drops Believe Essential Oil

Distilled Water

Citrus and Sage Spray

1 ounce glass spray bottle

1 teaspoon grain alcohol, vodka or fragrance free witch hazel

5 drops Sage Essential Oil

5 drops Citrus Fresh Essential Oil

Distilled Water

Directions for all sprays:

Add drops of oil, alcohol or witch hazel directly into the spray bottle. Using a funnel if necessary, add enough distilled water to make 1 ounce. Cap tightly and shake well before each use.

Recipe may be doubled for a 2 ounce spray bottle.
