I did not intend to clean my bathroom today. I am pretty good at keeping it up regularly so nothing was in immediate need of cleaning. Yet, when I glanced at the tub. I thought before it gets very dirty perhaps I would do a quick clean which takes less than five minutes. I honestly enjoy cleaning the tub this way because using Lemon Essential Oil lifts my spirits. Call me crazy, but I also like to clean the toilet frequently. I use Thieves Cleaner because I love the aroma of the Lemon, Clove and Cinnamon Bark essential oils it contains. Using Thieves Cleaner really does motivate me to wipe down the toilet daily. So back to the tub “quick clean.” This is so easy. Sprinkle some baking soda on the bottom of your tub. Then sprinkle about 10-15 drops of Young Living Lemon Essential Oil on top of the baking soda. You can experiment with using more or less essential oil. Use a non abrasive scrub type sponge to wipe the bottom and sides of the tub. At that point, you can add a little water (or white vinegar) to make it more of a paste. When you are finished, rinse off using the shower head. The tub will be clean, shiny and smell oh so lemony.
Once I saw the shiny tub, motivation kicked in. Trying something new, I mixed baking soda and a capful of Thieves Concentrated Cleaner with a little water to make a paste. Then, I used a small cleaning brush to clean the tub grout and tile. To finish, I rinsed and dried the tile. It came out wonderful. I stopped to write this but now I think I am going to go back and clean the toilet, mirrors and the shower glass with Thieves cleaner…and maybe even the floor tile and counter top. Well maybe some of it can wait until tomorrow. One job at a time, one day at a time.
Did you know…
Thieves Cleaner comes in a concentrated form. To use, dilute it in a glass spray bottle. It is very economical at approximately $1.50 per bottle compare to $3-$4 or more for store bought cleaners. One spray bottle of Thieves will replace the many bottles of store bought cleaners you may have been using.
It much healthier for your skin, lungs and entire body when you clean with essential oils than with typical products that contain toxic chemicals, suds, bubbles, colors and fragrances.
Children can safely help clean when using natural products made from Essential Oils.
Using a flat weave microfiber cloth with a spray bottle of diluted Thieves cleaner will do an amazing job on mirrors and windows.
