Breaking up is really not hard to do. Let me explain what I mean. Breaking tasks up into manageable chunks of time  is the best method I know of for feeling  in control and not overwhelmed.  I used to do this in college when having to write research papers. Now I apply it to cleaning and managing my home and family. It can be applied to anything you need to get done that seems insurmountable. Let’s take cleaning the refrigerator for instance. It is a job often overlooked. But how nice it is to open a clean, fresh smelling organized refrigerator in which you can see what you have.

So as not to get overwhelmed perhaps you might take these steps, whether it is one step each day or one step each time a commercial comes on,  you are chatting on the phone, waiting for dinner to cook or just have a few extra minutes. You may start by throwing out spoiled food. The next time you can empty one shelf or one bin and clean it out. The next time, you may wash down an inside wall or two or  the outside of the refrigerator. The next time clean the gaskets, and on and on. Most likely when you start with small tasks, you see results and get motivated and do more.

Did you know..

It is important to periodically vacuum under your refrigerator and behind it. Accumulating dust makes the motor work harder. Only move the refrigerator with proper help. Pull down the wheels as to not damage your floor.

A full refrigerator stays colder using less electricity because the cold food helps keep the temperature down.

Refrigerator doors should be hinged as to open toward the counter to make loading and unloading food more efficient.
